reasons to have your own place
I really miss cooking, walking around with no pants on, working out, cooking, trips to the supermarket, endless hours reading recipes, cooking, cleaning, yes I miss cleaning, shamelessly watching whatever I want on TV.
On the other hand, I suppose it’s nice to: have noise in the house, have a “father” figure around, have laundry facilities without having to go in an elevator, have a little sister around, be closer in case I want to hang with Teaneck people, not pay rent, not pay for dinner, have dinner made (on days I’m really tired or busy this is appreciated), have a printer around, have some access to a car I don’t have to pay anything for (including gas).
There’s a lot of pros to my current living situation but I’m a creature of my own place. Even when I’ve complained of loneliness and wanting family and wanting community—all I’ve ever known is some quiet isolation and complete control.
